Here's the Scoop....
It's that time of the year again... Basketball playoff time.
Which means I won't be getting much sleep for the next month.
Of course my Chicago Bulls didn't even make it to the play-
offs. Now my second favorite team, the Phoenix Suns are two
games down.
Best,

Yoko Fights To Keep Lennon Tapes Private...
John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono has launched a legal bid to stop
a video company from airing footage of John smoking pot.
The nine-hour video, owned by Massachusetts-based World Wide
Video, also shows Lennon discussing putting the hallucinogenic
drug LSD in former President Richard Nixon's tea.
World Wide Video claim 24 raw tapes showing three days in
Lennon's life in February 1970... weeks prior to the Beatles'
breakup... do not belong to Ono and is suing her for copyright
infringement.
Yoko, who currently has the tapes, is trying to ban the video
from the public domain.
Joseph Doyle, World Wide Video's lawyer says, "The decision that
should be made in the case is who in fact does have the copyright.
We're saying that we legitimately own the copyright to this film."
The company, which paid more than $1 million for the footage
almost premiered it last year, but it scrapped the screening
after an order from Yoko's legal team.

Katie Couric Loses Chance To Moderate Democratic Debate...
Katie Couric's hopes of finally being able to moderate a
Democratic presidential debate were dashed Monday when the
North Carolina Democratic Party canceled the debate she had
hoped to co-host on Sunday, citing the lack of a commitment
by Sen. Barack Obama to participate and concerns that the
growing personal attacks by Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton
might damage party unity. Obama is expected to win the North
Carolina primary handily. In an interview with Los Angeles Times,
CBS News Senior VP Paul Friedman said that the planned debate,
which Couric had been tapped to moderate, "would have been good
for us in the sense that it would have shown Katie's skills...
She's a very good interviewer and passionate about politics. So
it would have been good for her. On the other hand, she's done
a lot of great work for which she hasn't gotten any credit or
recognition."

Richie Sambora Given Probation After DUI Charge...
Richie Sambora has been sentenced to three years probation
after pleading guilty to drunk-driving.
The Bon Jovi guitarist was pulled over by police on March 25th
in Laguna Beach, California, for driving under the influence
of alcohol after police observed his vehicle weaving in traffic.
And as Ava, his ten-year-old daughter with ex-wife Heather
Locklear, was in the car, local officers had recommended that
Sambora face additional charges of child endangerment.
However, prosecutors at a Newport Beach, California court,
declined to level that charge against him.
Though Richie was not present at the hearing on Wednesday, his
attorney entered a guilty plea to one count of DUI on his behalf.
He has been sentenced to three years probation, a three-month
alcohol education class and must pay legal fees.
The March arrest capped a difficult year for Sambora, 48, who
entered a rehabilitation facility in June 2007 for an
undisclosed problem.

Patrick Dempsey's Kilt Disaster
'Grey's Anatomy' star Patrick Dempsey was forced to wear
a kilt for new movie 'Made of Honor' but had to shun tradition
and wear underwear, after his private parts were attacked by
insects.
Patrick was filming in Scotland and was happy to don the country's
native dress, which is often worn without undergarments. Patrick
was determined to wear his kilt in an authentic manner, but found
himself covered in bites from local winged flies forcing him to go
back to wearing underwear to protect his most delicate area.
He says, "I wore a kilt for the wedding scenes, but had to wear
something underneath. I tried nothing but I was bitten all over."
