Hello fans,
Today we're catching up with Robin Givens. I have to say she
still looks the same. Maybe even prettier now than when she
was younger.
One of the things I was surprised to find out is just who
she has dated in the past. It's an impressive list.
Be Well,
Anisa

ROBIN GIVENS
BIRTH DATE: November 27, 1964, New York, New York
CLAIM TO FAME: I'm going to go with her most famous acting
role... that was as Darlene Merriman in 'Head of the Class'
FAMILY LIFE: Svetozar Marinkovic (August 1997 - 1997) (divorced)
Mike Tyson (February 1988 - February 1989) (divorced)
Son: Michael (b. 1992)
Son: William (b. Oct-1999)
In the Past Dated: Eddie Murphy, Brad Pitt and there were
rumors that she was dating Michael Jordan at one time.
INFO: When she was young, Robin began playing the violin but
quickly decided it was not for her. She chose instead to channel
her artistic energy through acting and, at the age of ten, she
started acting classes at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts
in New York City. In 1980, at fifteen, Robin enrolled as a freshman
at Sarah Lawrence College to study pre-med. By her junior year,
however, Robin's excitement about the idea of a career in acting
intensified and she began taking her craft more seriously. Robin's
first experience in Hollywood was on "The Cosby Show" (1984), the
hottest show on television. As a result of the role, she and comedian
Bill Cosby forged a great friendship which would prove instrumental
in Robin's career.
*
TRIVIA: Robin's father, Reuben, abandoned her family when she was
a young girl and she seldom saw him after that.
Gave birth to a baby boy in October 1999. The father of baby is
tennis player Murphy Jensen but the couple are no longer together.
She took another chance at marriage in 1997, by marrying her tennis
instructor Svetozar Marinkovic. The marriage proved a total failure,
as the two were separated since the day they married, and Robin filed
for divorce citing 'irreconcilable differences.'
Replaced Mother Love as hostess for the series "Forgive or Forget"
In January 2004 she accidentally struck an 89-year old woman with
her SUV in Miami. The woman was admitted to the hospital with unknown
injuries.
Was a classmate at Sarah Lawrence College of Holly Robinson Peete.
She appeared in a cameo in music video He Wasn't Man Enough by Toni
Braxton, as the wife of a cheating husband.
She said she didn't get "a dime" in her divorce with Mike Tyson and
that they also did not have a prenup.
She also dated Howard Stern for a short period of time.
WHERE IS SHE NOW: Robin is still acting in roles. In fact she
two films completed for this year (see credits).
a few years back she even took her acting to the theater where she
performed in New York in the Off-Broadway production of 'The Vagina
Monologues.' She earned good reviews for her performance.
Then last year she became the first African American to play the
role of Roxie Hart in 'Chicago'.
Right now you can see Robin in the TV Show 'Saints and Sinners'
on MyNetworkTV... But hurry, I don't know how long this series will
stay on the air. The whole network is doing a shake-up.
