BIRTH DATE: September 30, 1961, Garland, Texas


CLAIM TO FAME: She is best known for her role as strong-willed 
airport lunch-counter operator Helen Chappel Hackett on the 
sitcom 'Wings', a role she played for the show's duration 
(1990-1997)

FAMILY LIFE: Father is Jerry Bernard. Sister is Robyn
Bernard who starred in 'General Hospital.'

She's single but has been dating Hugo House for many years.

INFO: She got her start in primetime as K.C. Cunningham on the 
sitcom Happy Days and first shot to stardom as waitress Amy
Tompkins on the sitcom It's a Living

TRIVIA: Crystal got her start as a child entertainer, singing 
with her father at revivals in the early 1970s.

She co-wrote the song "If I Were Your Girl", which is performed 
by Paula Abdul and appears on her album "Head Over Heels".

She sang the duet "I wanna take forever tonight" with 
Peter Cetera.

In addition to acting, Crystal has a music career as a singer/
songwriter. She is best known for singing a hit duet with Peter
Cetera called "Forever Tonight".

She recorded a gospel track with her father, and one with 
country artist Billy Dean. At one time Crystal dated Billy.


WHERE IS SHE NOW: She has appeared several times on stage since
the end of 'Wings.' She played Annie Oakley in the Broadway 
revival of 'Annie Get Your Gun' in 2001, a Los Angeles production
of 'Crimes of the Heart' in 1999 and she played Molly in 'Barbra's 
Wedding' in 2005.

She popped up in a couple of made for TV movies that are still 
shown on Lifetime. 

Crystal tours and sings Gospel with her father, but still would
like to act in more roles.

LOOSE LIPS: "I'm still alive." - Dave Grohl earlier this week, 
when he was listed online as having passed away. The incident 
marks the second time he has been pronounced dead by internet 
pranksters. Grohl's details on online encyclopedia Wikipedia 
were altered to read "David Eric Grohl (January 14 1969 - 
February 5 2007)". The rocker found out about his supposed 
demise when worried friends began calling offer his wife Jordyn
their sympathy.
