Angel Mom
I have two different things that have happened since my mom
passed away on March 29, 2006...
It was a nice October day and I was alone in the house.
Mom's picture, which is sitting on the little table as you
walk in the front door, is the most beautiful picture of her
... she was smiling a smile that I will never forget. Beside
her picture is one of her music boxes, a pair of red
cardinal birds. She loved her birds. On this day, I was
standing beside her picture and talking to her, as I do a
lot; her smile just made me talk and smile at the same time.
I talked and I prayed that she was doing all right in heaven
and with Jesus. I told her I missed her so much and wished
she was still here with me. All of a sudden the music box
began to play! It played a love song and was beautiful. I
could not believe it played as it wasn't even wound up to
play! I spoke again to Mom, telling her thank you for
letting me know she is happy where she now is. I know Mom
made that music box play. I cried. I know Mom is my angel
and watching over me.
The second thing that happened was just a week ago. My
sister, who lives near me, called me on on the telephone
that morning and said that the picture that mom had painted
for her, which is a picture of birch trees, was not on the
wall beside her bed. It was on the end table next to the
bed, and it was facing her. I asked her if she got out of
bed during the night, and didn't remember taking it off, and
she said, "No, I slept good all night and didn't get up at
all. It didn't fall off because had it fallen, it would have
landed on the bed and not across the bed and onto the little
bed side-stand."
We know that mom had a hand in this also. She was a very
smart woman, and could do anything she set her mind to do.
We do miss her terribly though, but I know she is happy. She
is definitely our angel watching over us!
