Rosie O'Donnell... "Let Me Take Britney's Place..."
Rosie O'Donnell wants to take Britney Spears' place as the celebrity face of "mental illness", to relieve the pressure on the troubled star.
The former talk show host believes both she and Spears may suffer from bipolar disorder - but insists she is better equipped to deal with the illness and the press intrusion.
Speaking on 'Good Morning America' on Tuesday , Rosie said, "I have been on anti-depressants since Columbine (1999 high school shooting).
"I sort of feel Britney has become the poster child (for mental illness). The kid is very young. She never had a childhood. She never rode a bigwheel.
"Rather than put her face on mental iilness, or Brooke Shields, who had postpartum depression, use me."

Tom Cruise Tale Axed From Village People Memoir...
The Village People cowboy Randy Jones has been forced to scrap an anecdote about Tom Cruise from his new memoir Macho Man, after editors feared action from the very litigous Cruise.
Jones' book lifts the lid on the Y.M.C.A. band's 1980s heyday, and his wild lifestyle away from the stage and screen.
The 55-year-old wanted to include a tale about the night he partied with a 20-year-old Cruise, before the actor found fame in 1983 film 'Risky Business'... but it failed to make the cut because of legal fears, editors tell the New York Daily News.
Jones says, "Tom and I had the same management company at the time. I met him at a party Andy Warhol threw in Atlanta."

50 Cent Fires Young Buck From G-Unit...
50 Cent has axed fellow rapper Young Buck from his G-Unit group, after he spoke out about dissent within the ranks.
Young Buck, real name David Darnell Brown, was quoted in a recent interview with America's Yo! Raps Magazine bemoaning the fact he'd "never seen a royalty check" since signing with 50's G-Unit Records imprint - despite releasing his two albums, 2004's Straight Outta Cashville and 2007's Buck The World, on the label.
However, the allegations were blasted by the star's manager Sha Money XL, who claimed the quotes had been fabricated, insisting G-Unit has paid Young Buck $10 million to date.
Rumors of a rift between 50 and Young Buck have been around for months, after Young Buck was alleged to have signed with rival label Cash Money Records in January 08.
That report proved to be false, as did another claim that 50 was on the verge of firing Young Buck after he failed to join the G-Unit group on tour, or appear on their February mixtape.
But now 50 Cent has cleared up the rumors once and for all, by confirming Young Buck's departure from the group. Yet, he will continue on G-Unit Records in a solo capacity.
