Here's the Scoop....

Did any of you notice two people who were left out of the
Academy Award tribute to the people who passed away?

It really didn't hit me until one of the readers emailed and
asked why wasn't Brad Renfro included in the tribute.

I had totally missed it... then I thought of who else they
left off and I couldn't believe it... there was no Roy Scheider!

How could they? Looking for answers found I wasn't the only one
trying to find out the info. Here's the response...

"Unfortunately we cannot include everyone," said Leslie Unger,
spokeswoman for the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.
"Our goal is to honor individuals who worked in the many
professions and trades of the motion picture industry, not just
actors."

But Roy Scheider? He starred in one of the biggest movies of all
time, delivering one of the most famous lines of all time (We're
gonna need a bigger boat)

Well let's get to the rest of the nooz.

Best,
Anisa

Naomi Campbell Hospitalized In Brazil...

Naomi Campbell has been hospitalized in Sao Paulo and is being
treated by one of Brazil's top specialists in infectious disease,
the hospital's press office said Tuesday.

The British supermodel, a frequent visitor to Brazil, celebrated
Carnival earlier this month in the northeastern city of Salvador.
She was hospitalized Sunday in Sao Paulo's Sirio Libanes Hospital.

"The patient and her advisers have determined that the hospital's
medical staff will not issue any formal or informal information on
her medical condition," the hospital said in a statement.

Campbell, 37, is under the care of David Uip, a specialist in
infectious diseases, and gynecologist Jose Aristodemo Pinotti,
the statement said.

Cute Couple Alert...

R+B stars Rihanna and Chris Brown have fueled reports they are
secretly dating, after they were snapped frolicking together on
vacation in Jamaica. The pair, who have been linked for months,
spent last weekend at a romantic retreat on the Caribbean island.

They both jetted to Jamaica, from Rihanna's native Barbados, so
Rihanna could perform at the Smile Jamaica Africa Unite Bob Marley
concert in St. Mary on Saturday. Photographs show them cuddling in
the pool, and eyewitnesses reveal they have been inseparable. One
source says, "They were smooching in the pool. They were playfully
making out and he was kissing her on the neck."

'Las Vegas' Canceled...

Although the last "all new" episode of NBC's 'Las Vegas' ended
with the words "to be continued," the storyline won't be. After
receiving word that the network had canceled the series, its
creator, Gary Scott Thompson, said, "We were probably the first
victim of the strike. The strike did us in. We had three more
episodes to shoot for the season, which we didn't get done. And
the 'To be continued...' was actually supposed to be the first
part of a two-parter. But that's as far as we got." Thompson said
that he had warned his writers, "If there's a strike, it's going
to be shows like ours that get hurt the most." (He was presumably
referring to shows with mediocre ratings.) He said that after the
strike ended, he had hoped that he would at least have been allowed
"to wrap it up and make it satisfying for all the fans, and, in
some ways, give ourselves an incredible curtain call with all the
major characters."

Justin To Pay Tribute To Madonna...

When pop superstar Madonna is inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall
of Fame on March 10, the famous face that will introduce the
material girl will be none other than Justin Timberlake.

Justin and Madonna, along with super-producer Timbaland have
recently been working together on her new yet-untitled CD... her
eleventh studio album in a career that now spans three decades.

Madonna will be the only female inducted in this year's ceremony,
which will feature celebs like Tom Hanks, Billy Joel, Jerry Butler,
John Fogerty and Ben Harper introducing the four other inductees:
Leonard Cohen, The Dave Clark Five, John Mellencamp, and The Ventures.

                  *-*-* GUESS WHO *-*-*-

The actor who is baffled by rumors he is a classically trained
actor, because he's never had a lesson in his life?

It's Eric Bana... Eric, star of 'Troy' and new movie 'The Other
Boleyn Girl' started out as a stand-up comedian and fell into
acting by accident. He says, "It says online I went to this
really prestigious acting college. It couldn't be further from
the truth. "I have never had an acting lesson. "I'm really
stubborn. I don't like being told what to do."
