Good Morning,
My yard looks SO much better today. Everything looks neat
and tidy, (for now). Hopefully, it will remain that way and
start to regenerate. We put a fence around the grassy area
to let the fertilizer and grass seed work its magic with the
sod that used to be there. Coco and Ginger are a little confused
about their play area and while they could probably knock the
whole thing with one wrestling match, we're hoping they stay
away from it long enough to grow some grass...
I also decided to finally go and get some flowers to plant in
all the planters. I held off for months because the last time
I had flowers, they were all uprooted and decorated my whole
yard...
Why am I taking a chance with the grass and flowers? It's
weird and I have no real explanation for what I'm going to
tell you, but...
Since Keno and Mystic have been gone, Moose and Ginger have
totally changed as far as the amount of trouble they get in
and their all-around temperment. They are extremely mellow,
and even though they still play together like crazy, they
are calmer and extremely well-behaved all of a sudden...
As I said, I have no real explanation. It's not like a week
matured them to this degree and they still behave like puppies,
just well-behaved puppies. Who knows, maybe they sense all of
us a little more subdued. Whatever the reason or reasons, they
have been a pleasure to have and as crazy as I may have been to
get them when I already had two Danes, I'm so very thankful to
have them with me now. Keno and Mystic cannot ever be replaced,
but these two are doing their part to help us all heal and give
us moments of diversion from the sorrow...
Of course, you realize, I may have jinxed myself and tomorrow,
there will be no flowers in my planters and fencing knocked all
over the place...
