Good Morning,
As you can probably guess, the last few days haven't been
too productive for me. I usually get as much done as I can
when Flyboy is gone because...well, there's always a ton of
things to do after he's been home a few days. I won't say he's
kinda messy, all I will say is, he is a male. (no offense to
all "my guys" on my subscription list)...
Instead of cleaning this weekend, I spent a large portion of
time reading my mail. All I can say is, wow, and thank you
all so, so, much. I haven't gotten through all the mail yet
for two reasons, one...I can only manage a few at a time before
I can't see through the tears, and two...At last count, there are
now over 7,000 emails regarding Keno and Mystic. There have been
so many warm and loving emails that I am still overwhelmed, touched,
and thankful...
It wouldn't be my column if I didn't have one, count it...ONE
email expressing dismay at something I sent on Friday. (You
know who you are). I guess I ticked one reader off by my posting
of the popular "Rainbow Bridge" poem that most pet owners know
about. It seems that offense was taken because I supposedly
snubbed my nose at God by claiming we'll meet our pets someday
over the Rainbow Bridge. She plans to be with God and not over
some colorful bridge, (don't be so sure with an attitude like
that honey). Said reader went on to say that so many people that
read my column believe everything I say and I am doing a disservice
to God himself. Since I'm having "one of those moments", I thought
I'd take some time to send out something that I hope people DO
listen to, and that is...
Dandy Disclaimer Time...
Ahem...Da management would like to take this opoortunity to apprise
the public of the editor's intent regarding last Friday's Rainbow
Bridge poem. Said editor is in mourining over the loss of her
beloved pets and shared something that was meant to soften the pain
to not only herself, but to the thousands of readers who have also
suffered a loss recently, or in the past...
Da management would also like to say that said editor's belief in
the almighty has NUTHIN' to do with the poem, or where said editor
hopes to go when her number is up. Crossing over the "Bridge" may
be cool if John Edwards, (the medium, not the politician), is there
to direct traffic and he has already assured me he will tell you where
to go in case you have a problem finding your way. <------giggling
at that one...
In closing, Da management expects said reader to send a Hellfire
note expressing even more damnation than the one before and that
may not be a great idea at this point because...said editor isn't
in the mood. Unsubscribe works wonders when such offense is taken
at one's words. No harm, no foul...
The editor has had input on the above disclaimer and the only
explanation given is...
