Good Morning,
Woof, Woof! Keno here, I guess it's my turn to take over
mom's column. Many of you have been with me since I came
to live with mommy and daddy at the age of 12 weeks old...
Mommy shared all of my good and bad moments from, "Hans
the Horrible" to many of my "great white hunter" moments.
Mommy always told me that her mailbox volume always tripled
when there was a story about me. Awww shucks, I'm blushing...
I haven't been able to get into too much trouble lately because,
well...I'm kinda sick and don't feel like doing much of anything,
although I sure have been enjoying all of the great food my
mommy has been giving me. I think she feels sorry for me and
don't tell her this, but I have been milking it for all it's
worth to get all of the good stuff. She even came in the house
with a bag of food, just for me! You humans sure are lucky to
have those things called French Fries and hamburgers all the
time. Flypup brought me some chicken last night from a place
called Panda Express. He remembered I loved Mandarine chicken
because I "accidentally" got some in my mouth a while back
when he wasn't looking...
Anyway...I just wanted to tell all of you that I have had one
heck of a ride with my family. I know I'm just a dog, but
mommy and daddy, as well as Dizzy and Flypup, have always
treated me like one of their pack. My new little sisters
will be happy here and I hope they take care of my family
for me, because they are all very sad right now. I can tell
because water keeps coming out of each one of their eyes
when they sit and talk to me...
I will be holding Mystic's paw as we cross over the Rainbow
Bridge today. We will both be able to run and jump, which
we can't do anymore and I hope there are sprinkler hoses
there for me to play with!
Mommy and daddy did everything they could to make our last
days as happy and comfortable as possible. I put my head
on mommy's lap last night and told her it's "time" and more
importantly, it's "OK". She and daddy love us so much
and their last act of kindness and love to me and Mystic
is to let us go...
I leave you with this...Being a Great Dane means that our
lives are shorter than most breeds. In the six years I have
been on this earth, I have loved, been loved and lived a
life fit for a King. I know we break your hearts when we
have to go so soon, but it's worth it for what we get and
give in return. It's not the length of life, it's the quality and
I can leave my family with enough memories to last a lifetime...

Ahem...I'm including it too because everyone knows I'm a ham
and love everyone looking at my pictures...
