Good Morning,
It seems that I'm always thanking all of you for one thing
or another, and today is no different. The moral support I
have been getting from my readers has been overwhelming and
while I haven't been able to read all of the mail coming in
because of the large number of them, I have read enough of
them to express my heartfelt gratitude. You all have made
me feel like you will be holding my hand through it all...
I didn't call the vet today, I tried, but couldn't. Flyboy
will be home today and he has graciously offered to do it
for me...
If, at any point in the next few days/weeks, anyone feels
that I am not taking the situation serious enough because
of the tone of my column, I will just say this ahead of time,
I use humor for many things, to entertain, to hide subtle
messages, and most importantly, to help deal with situations
that are painful and sad. It's how I have been all of my life
and I will never change...

If you've been shopping for eye shadow recently, you may have
noticed that this season's colors are brighter and bolder than
last year. Some people shy away from using a shadow that is a
little more vibrant than they're used to. Relax, if you keep
a few things in mind, you may actually like what you see.
Always look for a shadow that's medium weight, not heavy that
may crease and look less than natural. Look for a translucent
luster and try to keep away from the heavily frosted bright
colors.
Try to layer your color by applying the first layer of shadow
lightly. You can add shadow a little at a time if you want
more color. Always stop after applying a layer and look in the
mirror closely at the intensity of the color before adding more
color
If you decide to go with the bright shadowed look, keep the makeup
on the rest of your face subdued. If you want to use an eyeliner,
try to pick one that matches the shadow's color instead of going
with a shade that will contrast and be too dark, such as brown
or black. Try to go without mascara or use it sparingly. Use a

choose the shade wisely, you can wear what is "in." Choose the
metallic colors based on your skin tone.
Fair skinned women...Silver and beige metallics
