Good Morning,
I'm heading home sometime today and can't wait to see my
hubby and the rest of the "gang". It's been a long, hard
road for my mom and although she isn't 100% yet, I'm extremely
pleased with her progress the past week, and feel better
about leaving. My sister will take over and work from home
since my mom still needs assistance with certain things...
I cooked quite a bit while I was there and made sure there
was extra to freeze for both of them after I left...
I'm happy to be going home, but as always, I hate saying
good-bye to my mom. Since she can see a little now, she
can see me get all "misty" when I hug her, which I did
a lot during the time I spent with her. An article I
read a long time ago said that as important as it is
for humans to have physical contact in the form of touch
and hugging, it is extremely important for older people to
get that contact for their well-being. I hope I have helped
in that department, and I also hope she knows how very much
she is loved by her children and grandkids...
Again, I'd like to thank everyone for your continuing prayers
for my mom, and also all the moral support you gave me the
past 4 1/2 weeks...

Yesterday's column on eyeliner brought in a lot of mail regarding
a specific look. The "smokey eye". Your wish is my command.
Sometimes...:-)
There probably isn't a longer running eye makeup trend than the
smoky eye, which is in no danger of going out of style. The key here
is to blend well. Also, make sure to keep all other makeup light or
you risk looking like a clown. You don't want the rest of your makeup
to compete with your eyes...
Holding the skin of your upper lid taut, apply eyeliner from the inside
corner of the eye outward. Draw strokes into the lash line. The middle
of the line should be a bit thicker than the edges...
Use a cotton swap (or your finger, if you're lazy like me) to "smudge"
the liner...

eyeliner to set the line. (Blow on the brush first to remove any excess
