Good Morning,
Rain...Mist...Rain, mixed with snow, Mist, with a mix of rain,
snow and cold. Cold with no chance of rain, but no chance of
sun either. I've basically given you the weather reports here
in Chicago since I got here three weeks ago. Sheesh, I've
seen the sun a total of FOUR days since I'm here. I just

Making "little" beauty mistakes are more common than "doing it
right" when you get into a bad habit. Here are some common mistakes
and simple fixes that should be easy to follow...
No matter how many times I mention this, it always seems that it
constantly needs repeating based on looking around when I go out...
Lining lips in a liner that is too dark...
The ONLY time a dark liner works is when you have a dark shade of lipstick
in the same shade. Your liner should be a neutral shade or the same shade
as your lipstick. You may think your lips look fuller and plumper with a
dark liner and lighter lipstick, but think again, "ring around the lips"
is more like it...
Not allowing your moisturizer dry completely before applying makeup...
When concealer, powder, foundation or blush are applied too soon after
applying moisturizer, your makeup will "slip" around your face and not
last as long...

Trying to hide dark areas with a concealer that is too light...
Concealer is supposed to hide dark areas on your face, not call
attention to the areas. Using a concealer that is too light will
draw attention to problem areas, not hide them. Use a concealer
that matches your skin tone, and at most, only one shade lighter,
no more than that...
Makeup colors that are too bright...
While bolder colors can be fine for special occassions, for everyday,
they are too harsh and can age you, which is fine if you want to look
older, but unless you're really trying to go with that look, better
play it safe with a neutral makeup palette. Browns, roses, beiges usually
work for the majority of skin tones...
