Good Morning,
I had a nice birthday with my mom and she got good news at
the doctor's office. Both doctors that treat her were extremely
pleased with the condition of her eyes and reassured her that
her vision would be returning soon...
The swelling is way down, the redness is less, the pain is
gone and her vision is returning, ever so slightly. Her
mood is MUCH better and even though she couldn't see her
hair after I did it for her this morning, I believe it
made her feel better anyway. I also gave her a manicure
and polished her nails and she was pleased when she held
her hand up and could actually see her nails!
If I had to give one reason for having a good birthday,
I would have to say it is because my mom had a good day...
We all went out to dinner after the doctor and for the
first time in quite a few weeks, my sister and I felt
like mom was on her way to a full recovery...
She asked us if we wanted to go to the casino to celebrate
my birthday...
We told her we both were tired and would have to get a
raincheck. The LAST place we want to take her is to a
casino given it's 4 weeks today she came back from Vegas
with this eye problem, but we didn't want her to think
that we didn't want to take her and instead, relied on
her maternal nature, knowing she would want us both to
rest...
Manipulative little devils aren't we? Then again, she may
have pulled one over on us. She tries So hard to not complain,
be helpless, or show she's tired. As soon as we got home,
she fell asleep on the couch. She probably knew we would
have HER best interest at heart and take her home...
I would like to thank everyone for their continuing prayers,
they have helped and we're all very grateful...
