Good Morning,
I'm still in Chicago and have no idea when I'm going home.
We have a doctor's appointment for my mom on Wednesday. My
mom hasn't regained her sight yet, but she can see a little
color, shadows and every once in a while, she can see a
fleeting "thing"...
My sister and I took her out to breakfast over the weekend,
just to get her out of the house. My mom doesn't like to
go anywhere right now because she panics when she is out
of her element, but she gave in, and although she enjoyed
breakfast, she couldn't wait to get back home, where she
is comfortable and can maneuver around. We understand her
concerns, we just try to do what we can to cheer her up...
I colored and cut her hair also yesterday because the last
haircut she got was pretty bad and she wanted me to fix it
for her. Her mood improved when we told her how good she looked
and when my brother came over and also complimented her...
I noticed he didn't compliment me on how I looked. Guess he
couldn't find the right words after he stopped laughing...
