Good Morning,
Greetings from Chicago! My mom has a doctor's appointment
today and each day we pray that it will be the day she is
a little better. While there has been a very slight improvement
in the condition of her eye, she still can't see, but luckily,
is in less pain...
The first three days I was here, I think I dehydrated because
everytime I look at her, my eyes fill with tears and even
though she can't see me cry, she knows I'm crying. No matter
how much my sister kept me informed about my mom, seeing it
with my own eyes made me very thankful that I got here when
I did...
My mom is still on a lot of medications that have to be given
every hour. There are so many different eye drops and different
times, we have a chart we use to write the times, medication and
amounts. The first time my sister showed it to me, I freaked
a little because it was a little intimidating, but it was
fine and hasn't been a problem...
My sister and I got a few projects done around the house that
needed done and we're both pretty tired, more emotionally than
physically, although my back is acting up quite a bit more here
than in Arizona, probably because it's fricken cold and damp...
I have no idea how long I will be here, things at home appear to
be OK, so I'll be here as long as needed...

Curling your eyelashes opens up the eyes and is always a tip that
is passed along by the "experts." Make your eyelash curler better
by dipping it in a cup of warm water for 1 1/2 minutes, drying it
off quickly, then curling your lashes. The warm water makes the curler
work like a curling iron which will keep your lashes curled longer...
If you want to go shimmery with your nails, use a translucent
glitter polish over your nail polish for pizazz. Browns and
earth-toned polish look best with gold glitter polish. Pinks
and reds look best with silver glitter polish. No polish at all?
Go with a pink or red glitter polish. Extra hint: Some glitter
polishes are hard to remove with just nail polish remover and a
cotton ball. Use a fabric softener sheet with the nail polish
remover to get all the glitter off...
