Today's Topic: Revenge Sex
"For a wrong on behalf of"... What wrongful act are you
avenging? If you are avenging a betrayal in a sexual way,
then chances are that the affront was of a sexual nature as
well. This could be a variety of betrayals like a cheating
partner (from making out with someone to having sex with
them) or some other major breach in trust like a car or house
purchase without discussion (hey, it happens!), etc. Generally
speaking, though, the betrayals will be of a sexual nature.
By definition, revenge means you are getting back at someone.
In order to hurt the person, you will have to engage in some
behavior that cuts quick to their insecurities, shocks them
by the breach in trust, or takes advantage of their love in
some form. In this case, we are talking sexual revenge. You
have a couple options here. You could return the betrayal in
kind or kick it up a notch, depending on your hurt level.
For instance, if your partner flirted or messed around with
someone and you feel betrayed, you might seek revenge by
doing the exact same thing. Similarly, if your partner had
sex with someone else, you might seek some hot sex with
another as well. If you want to kick it up a notch, the
revenge would especially be hurtful if your plan included
someone significant to your partner. For instance, you would
mess around with or have sex with one of his friends, brother,
etc. Hey, we're talking serious, dirty revenge business here.
Before you proceed, though, consider the possible outcomes.
For some people the act of revenge will alleviate the hurt
and they might feel "cleansed." After all, if you have sex
with your boyfriend's brother, that's pretty guaranteed to
create some major hurt. Few people, though, can separate
the wide range of emotions involved, especially considering
you would have had to have been very hurt in the first place
to enact such revenge. Holy long sentence, Batman.
Then there's another possible outcome...Some people say there
will always be an element of pleasure in the revenge sex
other than, well, revenge because sex is pleasurable anyway.
But again, not all people can separate emotions and sensations
this way. For some people, revenge sex will leave them feeling
emptier than before the act. After all, even if you have sex
with your cheating boyfriend's brother, it doesn't negate the
initial hurt and fact that he cheated. Revenge sex might be
opening a whole can of unexpected worms. You might be left
with hurt feelings from the initial transgression AND now
new, empty feelings of emptiness and loss.

Side note: Another reason revenge sex might not sit well is
that it obviously involves a level of deception. Chances are,
the person you are conducting the betrayal with (eg, cheating
boyfriend's friend) probably doesn't know he is being used.
Hence, the deception. Okay, my dearies, what say you? Have
