Naomi Campbell Arrested for Assaulting Police Officer...

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been arrested for allegedly
assaulting a police officer at London's Heathrow Airport.

Naomi, who is known for her fiery temper, had to be escorted
from a British Airways plane on Thursday afternoon after
being aggressive and abusive to staff.

According to reports, Campbell spat at an officer and was
handcuffed as she left the aircraft, which had yet to take
off from the airport's new Terminal 5 building.

The incident was allegedly sparked by an issue with the
star's luggage.

A Heathrow spokeswoman says, "We can confirm that a passenger
was removed by police from a BA flight this afternoon."

A representative for the London Metropolitan Police has
confirmed a woman was arrested at Terminal 5 for an
assault on police, but refused to disclose her identity
or reveal her age.

Tom Cruise Cameo Brings Down The House...

A cameo appearance by Tom Cruise as a bald, foulmouthed movie
mogul in Paramount's 'Tropic Thunder' "brought down the house"
at a studio screening Tuesday night, the New York Times
reported in an article headed, "Tom Cruise, in Bit Role, Nips
Studio's Top Gun."

Paramount is owned by Viacom, whose chairman, Sumner Redstone,
tossed Cruise off the Paramount lot in 2006, expressing his
anger over Cruise's comments on behalf of Scientology while
promoting the studio's latest Mission: Impossible sequel. Only
last week Redstone and Cruise dined together, with Redstone
remarking afterwards that they had buried the hatchet...
apparently unaware of the new hatchet that lay waiting for him.

The Times reported that director Ben Stiller had planned to keep
Cruise's appearance in the movie a surprise. Cruise is not named
in the film's credits and his scene is not included in the trailer
for the film.

Whitney Houston Expresses 'Sadness' At Brown's Claims...

Whitney Houston is upset Bobby Brown has gone public with
damaging claims about their 15-year marriage in his new auto-
biography. Brown has revealed all in his forthcoming book
'Bobby Brown: The Truth, The Whole Truth And Nothing But...',
in which he blames Houston for the breakdown of their relation-
ship and insists she married him for all the wrong reasons. In
one chapter, the 39-year-old singer even claims Houston is
responsible for getting him hooked on hard drugs. He writes:
"I never used cocaine until after I met Whitney. Before then,
I had experimented with other drugs, but marijuana was my drug
of choice. "At one point in my life, I used drugs uncontrollably.
I was using everything I could get my hands on, from cocaine to
heroin, weed and cooked cocaine." Houston has since responded
to the allegations and expressed her disappointment at the
deterioration of their relationship - but she refuses to hit
back with accusations of her own. Her spokesperson says, "Miss
Houston is sad that Bobby feels he needs to say such things,
but she chooses to take the high road and will not speak badly
about the father of her child, even if it's to set the record
straight." The couple married in 1992 and divorced in 2007.

Houston and Brown have a 15-year-old daughter together, named
Bobbi Kristina Houston Brown.

'Friday Night Lights' Remain Lit...

Saying that he had "structured an innovative deal" with DirecTV
to keep 'Friday Night Lights' alive, NBC Entertainment Co-Chairman
Ben Silverman announced Wednesday that the critically praised but
low-rated series would return to the air next fall with all-new
episodes that would first air on the home-satellite company's
entertainment channel, The 101, beginning in October and then
rerun on NBC early next year.

In a conference call with reporters, Silverman said that he wanted
to save the show because "if I had one more person on a plane tell
me it's their favorite show, I was going to lose my mind." Terms
of the deal were not disclosed, and on its face it would appear to
guarantee that ratings for the series would remain low, since many
of those watching it on DirecTV would unlikely tune in again for
the reruns on NBC. That prospect did not appear to faze Silverman,
who said that the deal allowed NBC "to have this jewel of a show
and not even need to expand its audience to succeed on a financial
basis." In a statement, Friday Night Lights executive producer
Peter Berg said that he is "excited to be a part of something that
feels legitimately groundbreaking, and new."

It's Dennis Quaid... Dennis admits he's tried to quit many
times, without success, but so far his babies have kept his
nicotine urges at bay. He tells Outside magazine, "I quit
smoking when the kids were born. I've gone over two months,
and this is the one. "I've quit a hundred times, but I've
really quit this time because I want to be around for them."
