Ahhh... My Hard Drive Just Crashed...

These are words none of us ever want to scream. But it
happened to me. Unfortunately I learned the hard way and
did not have a back up of my data. WHY? Well I always
thought it was hard to do and that you needed to buy add-
itional hardware. And then the worst part was restoring
from your backup.

Well I found the perfect product and the BEST part is you
can get it for just the cost of s&h... $5.99. It retails
for $39.99, but we know how important your data is to you
and wanted to give everyone the chance to own this CDRom
called RestoreIT.

"RestoreIT... You simply CAN NOT afford to be without it."

          :::::  This Week's Computer Tip  :::::

You can remove startup items from your ini files in Windows
XP using a feature called MSCONFIG.

1. In Windows, click on "Start" and then "Run".

2. In the "Run" window, type MSCONFIG and then click the
"OK" button.

3. A window will appear called the "System Configuration
Utility" in this window, click on the "Startup" tab.

4. The "Startup" page shows you a list of all the items that
are starting when Windows starts. Just click to remove the
check mark from the item and click "OK" when you are done.
You will be prompted to restart your computer.

5. You can turn off any items you wish, but some you will
want to keep running, especially, things like your antivirus.

6. When you re-boot the computer, you will get a message
that your computer is not starting normally. This is OK, it
is just telling you that you have turned off some of the
things that wanted to start.

Just check off the box to not show the message any more and
close the window.
