                        QUOTE A DAY
"Words That Inspire, Provoke and Entertain"
                    Tuesday July 8, 2008
-----------------------------------------------------------

  Greetings fellow quote lovers:

My dear friends, I started writing Quote A Day 10 years
ago this month. Ten years of quoting philosophers,
scientists, statesmen and just about anybody that had a
  profound thought.

I had hair when we started on this journey. Much has
changed since the first issue. Our nation is in deep
trouble today. We have let our fears rule us and have
given the cruel power to an elite group whose interests
are decidedly different than our own.

We have been indifferent as we killed over 1 million
Iraqis who NEVER did anything to us. This silence has
created its own karma and we are about to pay for it.
Our nation stands on the brink of bankruptcy. Yes, I
  said bankruptcy.

Fortis Bank believes up to 6000 US banks will fail this
year. I visited Target on Saturday to purchase an
electronic gadget and not one thing I looked at was
  manufactured in the US.

Who is to blame for our situation? We MUST LOOK IN THE
MIRROR. We cannot blame anybody else...the elite require
of our indifference. After 9-11 when Bush told us to go
shopping, we knew there was a nefarious ethic being
promoted. Materialism an unbridled consumption has
created a mind set that our things matter more than
  right and wrong.

Can we turn it around? Of course because we write our
own script. But we can only do so if we change and
this is not likely. 232 years ago the Declaration of
Independence was signed. We need to read it and get
rid of these politicians who become more authoritarian
  and act like royalty.

 Best,

 JA

              9-11 Pentagon Lies?

One thing that is very difficult for people to understand
is that when a government lies about ANYTHING, there is a
reason for lying. Usually it is a diversion and the more
  lies, the more confusion.

As Americans continue to feel squeezed, as the sins

the belief that we are somehow superior to all others

We ought always to deal justly, not only with those who
