Holiday Travel Tips

Here are a few tips that can help minimize inconveniences and
delays in the airport at the security checkpoint:

1. Check In Online. Save time in the airport by printing your
boarding pass up to 24 hours before your flight.
2. Arrive at least two hours before scheduled departure. Check
your bags and proceed to the gate area so that you're at
the gate at least 30 minutes before departure.
3. Bring photo identification. Have your photo ID and boarding
pass in your hand as you enter the security checkpoint.
Children may use a birth certificate.
4. Know how to identify your bags. Knowing the color, brand,
special features or markings will help you retrieve them
   faster from the luggage carousel.
5. Use a sturdy bag tag. Put your name, address and phone
number on the tag. You may also consider putting your
destination phone number on the bag.
6. Toiletries. Travelers may now carry onboard travel-size
toiletries (3.4 ounces/100 ml. or less) that fit in one
   quart-size plastic, zip-top bag.
8. Medications. Larger amounts of prescription liquid
medications, baby formula and juice, and diabetic glucose
treatments must be declared at the checkpoint.
9. Check the TSA Limits. Visit tsa.gov to view a complete list
of the Transportation Security Administration's rules.
10. Beverages. After clearing security, travelers can purchase
beverages and other items to be carried on the aircraft.
