According to the Chilean newspaper, Las Ultimas Noticias, a
woman from Argentina named Roxana Pons has been living in a
nest she built. A real nest made out of branches...up in a
real tree.

She's not homeless, she has a house to live in if she chooses
to, she just chooses to live in a tree...for over a year now.

I wonder if anyone has asked her to sit on some eggs for
them? If they did, and they threw them up to her, I'll be
she wouldn't even finch. If one would have hit her on the
crane-ium though, she would probably be seeing starlings,
and it might be her swan song. That would have been a
mallardy her wrens would find hard to swallow.

Is that enough bird puns for you? Well, it doven't matter
to me, I've got a million of 'em, so don't squawk at me caws
I'm not heron you.

Well, anyway, she must be a tough old bird, but you could do
it, too.

After all, if one can, toucan. :)

If you copy and paste, be sure to remove the periods or it
won't work.

Question: There's a site that links to a lot of my material
within their frames, making my content look like their content.
Is there anything I can do to stop this?

Simon Says: Sure, there's an easy solution that will work for
most visitors. Any visitor with JavaScript enabled will have
your content the other site is framing reload to the whole
page instead of being locked in their frames. Just add this:

<.script type="text/JavaScript">
//script courtesy of BoogieJack.com
if (top.location.href != self.location.href) {
top.location.href = self.location.href;

...to the HEAD section of the page(s) you want to free from
frames and you're page will load without the frames from the
other site.

SURFIN' THE WEB - Number Ones

Are you curious what the number one song was on Billboards
Hot 100 on your birthday? How about your wedding day, your
graduation day, or some other special day?

At this site you can easily find out by clicking the month,
then the date on the resulting page, and then you end up on
a page with a list of all the number songs on that date from

On the day I was born, "Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White"
by Perez Prado was the number one song. I'd never heard of
either of them.

So, I went to cduniverse.com and listened to a sample of the
song. It appears to be an instrumental. Apparently there just
weren't any words good enough on the day I was born! :)

Note: You will need to paste both lines of the URL into your
browser if your mail program breaks the link apart.

COMPUTER TIPS - Windows Explorer Quick Tip

If your computer is anything like mine, when you open Windows
Explorer and want to open a CD drive, Zip drive, or Floppy
drive, you have a long way to scroll down to get to them.

A much easier way is to click the down arrow on the Address
Bar. You'll find all your drives listed there for quick access,
as well as your Recycle Bin, My Documents folder, and a few
other main access points.

Disclaimer: Advice in this column is presented as infor-
mational and is true to the best of my knowledge. Any
decisions to follow this advice is your responsibility. Your
computer, your choice.

Until next week, remember these words of Merry Browne: Expect
people to be better than they are; it helps them to become
better. But don't be disappointed when they are not; it helps
them to keep trying.

Have an interesting day, Simon
