Lynne Spears's memoir about raising her famous daughters
Britney and Jamie Lynn will be released this fall, the
publisher confirms.

"When Jamie Lynn got pregnant, it was put on hold," says a
spokesman for Thomas Nelson, which publishes inspirational
books and Bibles. "Lynne never stopped working on it
because she wants to express her love for her children
and tell their stories through a mother's eyes."

Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in
a Tabloid World" is likely to be released in September,
says the spokesman.

Spears's manuscript "will not be a parenting book," he
says. "It's her story of what it was like being a mom
and raising two very famous people. It's a memoir."

What are your thoughts on Lynn Spears writing a Memoir?

A Salina, Kan., man who drove his car into the front stairs
of a home said the incident was the result of "brain
freeze" from a cold drink. Police desk officer Brandon
Tomson said Robert Schulz, 66, told police he lost control
of the vehicle after a cold beverage he was sipping gave
him a "brain freeze" and then a "chest freeze," the Salina
(Kan.) Journal reported Wednesday. Schulz was treated at
the Salina Regional Health Center and released.

Colorado to release smelly lottery tickets
Colorado officials say they are preparing to release
scratch-and-sniff lottery tickets that may rouse childhood
memories for adult players. The smelly $3 crossword game
tickets that will hit the shelves Monday will have the
aroma of fresh coffee, KMGH-TV in Denver reported
Wednesday. Colorado Lottery officials said players can
expect future tickets to smell like flowers and chocolate.
New smells will come out about every 10 weeks, KMGH-TV
said. Lottery officials said they chose flowers as a scent
because they thought it would appeal to the game's mostly
female players. They said coffee was chosen because of its
broad appeal. People can win up to $40,000 playing the
fragrant crossword puzzle game, the report said.

Booming bikers wearing down Fla. neighbors
A Florida county commissioner says its high time to do
something about the roar of motorcycle engines at a local
Harley-Davidson dealership. The Martin County Commission
agreed Tuesday night to consider a plan that would result
in tickets for bikers who exceed a noise limit. The bone
of contention is a Harley-Davidson lot in Stuart, off U.S.
1, where loud-and-proud riders start revving up as early
as 7:30 a.m. on weekends and continue on into the night,
the Palm Beach Post said Wednesday. "I want the dealership
to do something," said Commissioner Sarah Heard. "They are
responsible for the noise they are creating." Residents
generally support the dealership and hope it continues to
prosper, the Post said. However, they say they were living
there long before it opened and wouldn't mind seeing it
relocate to a less-residential area.
