         BIZARRE NEWS - Wednesday, June 25, 2008
"Spanning the globe for the weird...strange...and stupid."

Greetings fellow Bizarros:

Boobs. Is there anything they can't do? In this case an
American woman was rescued from disaster on a mountain in
Germany after she used her size DD bra to get the attention
of nearby loggers.

The 24-year-old Colorado woman had been missing for three
days before a helicopter crew spotted her colorful sports
bra. The woman said she attached the bra to a cable used
for moving logs down the mountain.

The woman received injuries to her skull, ankle and shoulder
when she lost her footing while hiking in the Bavarian Alps
close to Berchtesgaden, Germany.

"Hanging the bra out saved her life because a logger saw
it, heard about the search for a missing woman, and called
mountain rescue," Police Chief Adolph Gunther said.

Officials said the woman is expected to make a full recovery.

Imagine...it could have been much worse if she had been an A
or a B cup.

------- Female students warned to stop cat calls --------

TONBRIDGE, England - Officials at a British college said
they were forced to threaten disciplinary action against
female students for cat-calling construction workers on
campus. Students at West Kent College in Tonbridge,
England, received an e-mail from school authorities saying
some people's actions were "totally unacceptable" and they
would be disciplined if seen cat-calling construction
workers, The Telegraph reported Monday. "We have asked the
contractors' representative to pass on all instances of
harassment to the college and we will take appropriate
action which may include disciplinary action," the e-mail
reads. A spokeswoman for the workers said no contractors
have filed a complaint but they do not "condone
inappropriate behavior from any parties" while on the job.

------------ 101-year-old pilot still flying -------------

SOMERSET, Pa. - A 101-year-old Somerset, Pa., man who
recently renewed his license might be the nation's oldest
licensed pilot, said the man who administered the pilot's
test. Ernie Trent said he has been flying planes since
the 1930s -- including a stint training B-52 pilots during
World War II -- and he has never crashed an airplane or
been injured by a plane-related incident, the Pittsburgh
Tribune-Review reported Monday. "I just like airplanes,"
Trent said. Richard Gibbs, a longtime friend of Trent's
who oversaw the elderly pilot's last proficiency test,
described his friend as "the oldest licensed pilot in the
United States. At least as far as I know." Gibbs said
Trent, who must pass a proficiency test every two years,
remains sturdy in the cockpit of his single-engine Avid
Flyer plane. "It's very natural to him," Gibbs said. "His
skill level is pretty high."

------- Man selling life on eBay after divorce --------

PERTH, Australia - An Australian man who is trying to
auction off his life on eBay says he just wants to
"move on" following the breakup of his 8-year marriage.
Ian Usher, 44, of Perth, Australia, decided to auction
off nearly everything in his life, including his car,
home, jet ski, friends, hobbies and job, after his
marriage collapsed, the British newspaper, The Guardian,
reported Monday. "It's going much better than I'd
anticipated," he said. "My life's on a much more even
keel now. I'm ready to move on." Offers reached at least
$1.7 million after the auction began Sunday, the newspaper
said. "I've been checking and they do seem to be genuine
bidders at the moment," Usher said. He added that even
if the auction falls through, he will always be remembered
as "the man who couldn't sell his life on eBay."

----------- Man struck by lightning on birthday ------------

COHASSET, Mass. - A Massachusetts man's wife said she plans
to watch weather forecasts more closely after her husband
was struck by lightning on his birthday. Scott O'Day, 49,
of Cohasset, Mass., was taking a stroll with his wife and
pet dogs on his 49th birthday when they began to hear
thunder, WCVB-TV, Boston reported Sunday. The couple were
surprised when they heard a particularly loud "boom"
following the claps of thunder, the report said. "When I
got struck I got knocked out of my shoes and was thrown
four or five feet forward. I landed on some rocks," O'Day
said of the Friday incident. O'Day's wife, Tucker, said
she cradled her husband until he came to. Scott received
hospital treatment for minor injuries and was released
within a day, WCVB said. "Makes you appreciate everything
you do have. Watch the weather forecasts a little more
closely," Tucker said.

Lewis... About the Russian enama thing..... I have just one
word: SHITSKY! -BB

Yes they have confessionals at operas... it's where the fat
lady sings after sex.
[Wrong. Fat ladies sing during sex. I mean...I've heard that
fat ladies sing during sex. I don't know what fat ladies do
during sex.]

Way to go, Bob! You took my thoughts a couple of steps
further. If you run for President, I'd vote for you. But
Lewis would then have to change the name of the item to
Bizarre Former Laws. -Karen
[You could always write him in as a candidate. Maybe you
could be his intern.]

Hey Lewis, there is a commercial where I live that uses the
opening line, "Are you laying in a hospital bed with dirty
underwear, one eye, and hungry? Or did you listen to your
mother?" I always get a kick out of that. LOL --Marv
[I have been to the emergency room a couple times in my
life and I have always been thankful to have clean under-
wear on.]

Why is it a man can "rent the cow for a little milk" but
a woman is expected to marry a pig just to get a little
sausage? --Heather
[Somebody had to write in with this comment, Heather, and
it might as well be you.]
