both Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco and Prince Charles of 
Wales were born. Also a notable death this week is Clark 
Gable who starred in the film Mogambo with Grace Kelley, and 
with whom he is said to have had an affair with during the 
filming.

****Some famous people born during this week in history: 

-- November 12, 1929 - Grace Kelly 
Kelly became a fashion model and appeared in her first film, 
Fourteen Hours (1951), when she was 22. Her next film, "Mogambo" 
earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In 1955, 
she was awarded the Academy Award for Best Actress for "The 
Country Girl." She retired upon marriage to the Prince of Monaco, 
when she became Her Serene Highness The Princess of Monaco. 
Grace Kelly died September 14, 1982 of a stroke.

-- November 14, 1948 - Prince Charles 
Charles Philip Arthur George Mountbatten-Windsor; 
Eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of 
Edinburgh. He is heir-apparent to the respective throne of 
the United Kingdom. He is the first in line to the throne, 
but third in order of precedence, following his parents. He 
is well-known for his extensive charity work, and also carries 
out a full schedule of royal duties and, increasingly, is 
taking on more royal roles from his ageing parents. The Prince 
is also well known for his marriages to the late Lady Diana 
Spencer and, subsequently, to Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall.

-- November 11 1962 - Demi Moore 
During the 1990s Moore was the highest-paid actress in Holly-
wood. She had a string of box-office successes, including 
Ghost, A Few Good Men, and Indecent Proposal, and was the 
first actress to reach the $10 million salary mark. After 
a break from her acting career, Moore returned to the screen 
as a former member of Charlie's Angels in the 2003 film.
On November 21, 1987, Moore married actor Bruce Willis, the 
couple has three daughters, Rumer Glenn, Scout LaRue, and 
Tallulah Belle. After their divorce Moore became romantically
involved with actor Ashton Kutcher, who is sixteen years her 
junior.

****Some famous people who have died during this week 
    in history: 

-- November 16, 1960 - Clark Gable
Born February 1, 1901 she was an Academy Award-winning film 
actor and the biggest box office star of the early sound film 
era. Gable is best known for his performance as Rhett Butler 
in the 1939 classic Gone with the Wind, which earned him an 
Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. Gable had also earned 
an Academy Award nomination for his role as Fletcher Christian 
in 1935's Mutiny on the Bounty. In 1999, the American Film 
Institute named Gable among the Greatest Male Stars of All Time, 
ranking at No. 7.

-- November 12, 2001 - Carrie Donovan
Born March 22, 1928 she was the flamboyant fashion editor for 
"Vogue", "Harper's Bazaar" and style editor for The New York 
Times Magazine. She made a second career as a pitchwoman in Old 
Navy commercials, and is known for her trademark oversized black 
eyeglasses, black clothing, often declaring the merchandise 
"Fabulous!". She died November 11, 2001 of respiratory failure.
