                  LOOKING GOOD - June 16, 2008
"Tips To Help You Look & Feel Your Best"

Good Morning,

On Friday, I completely forgot to wish all the dads out there
a happy Father's Day. I hope it was a good one!

We celebrated Father's Day on Saturday because Flyboy had to
leave on Sunday. Flypup and his wife came over and we all had
a nice dinner together. Flyboy got quite a selection of cards
that ranged in "mushy" to comical. Moose and Ginger also had a
card for Daddy...

My mom and I were talking about Father's Day and she said she
thought dads got a little cheated because Mother's Day is a
bigger event and hyped so much more, (I added it also carries
a lot more guilt)...

I thought about what she said for a minute and told her the
reason why they may get cheated...

They are not able to carry a watermelon around for nine months,
then pass that watermelon through the eye of a needle. They, then,
are not really able to listen to that watermelon cry, yell, and
whine for the next 18, (usually MUCH longer) years...

She asked me what I really thought a man would do if he HAD to
give birth to that watermelon and I said...

Find Gallagher and donate it for his act...

The summer problems and solutions were a big hit and of course,
I still have a few in my "bag of tricks"...

You prepped for the beach by shaving your bikini line. Now you
have a bumpy razor rash...

Prevent it...

Always use a fresh razor blade on your sensitive bikini line.
Also, use a gel (skip the soap; the results won't be as smooth)
and let it sit on the skin for a couple of minutes to soften the
hair before you shave. Always shave the bikini line in the direction
of hair growth to minimize irritation...

Treat it...

Reduce the rash by applying a 1 percent hydrocortisone cream to the
area. If the skin isn't broken, conceal the redness with a tinted
facial moisturizer. Self conscious about the bumps? Work a sexy
sarong look when you're not in the water...

Keep your produce fresher, longer. Quit tossing away the
produce you just bought and toss one of these revolutionary
Refrigerator Balls into your refrigerators crisper.

WHY... As fruits and vegetables age they create gases that
cause them to spoil prematurely. Supermarkets and grocers
know this so they use potassium minerals to absorb these
gases in order to prolong the life of their produce and
now you can too.

These Refrigerator Balls contains a packet of potassium
minerals that absorb these produce-rotting gasses, so you
can keep your fruits and vegetables fresher, longer right
at home.

contains 3 Fridge Balls. To order or get more info, visit:

Those gorgeous golden highlights you paid big bucks for are
turning brassy faster than you can say Orange Julius...

Prevent it...

Highlighted hair that's naturally medium brown or warm blond is
most likely to get coppery since those shades have more red in them.
And all streaked strands are more porous, making them susceptible
to oxidation caused by the sun seeping into them. (The process is
similar to how an apple slice will turn brown if it's left out
for a while.) To prevent this, cover up with a hat or a head scarf
when outdoors. Also use styling aids that block UV rays. (It will
say this on the package)...

Fix it...

If your hair hue is already trashed, your best bet for
resuscitating the color is to head to the salon for a color
gloss, which will tone down the brassiness and add shine for
less than the cost of getting the highlights redone...
