Today's Deal of the Day

Saints' Bush out Monday, status rest of season uncertain
New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush will not play
Monday night in Atlanta because of a knee injury. He had
been listed as questionable after an MRI this week indicated
a partially torn left knee ligament. The team Saturday did
not comment about Bush's prospects for the rest of the season.
Bush became the Saints' featured running back when a knee
injury ended Deuce McAllister's season in the third week.
Bush has scored six touchdowns with 581 yards rushing and
417 yards receiving. With Bush out, Jamaal Branch, Aaron
Stecker and rookie Pierre Thomas will be the running backs.
Thomas returned to practice Friday following a kidney bruise.
The Saints (5-7) have a slim chance at an NFC wild-card spot.
Lions PR Walters walks off field with concussion
Lions punt returner Troy Walters walked off the field with a
concussion Sunday against Dallas, and did not return. The
side of Walters' helmet slammed against the turf in the first
quarter when Cowboys safety Patrick Watkins threw him down on
a 2-yard return. Players on both teams immediately started to
wave their arms, signaling for help from the sidelines, and
kneeled in a circle around him. Eventually, Detroit's
training staff helped Walters sit up after he was able to
move his legs. With some assistance, he walked off the field
for further evaluation on the sideline.

Bills safety Wilson hospitalized for precautionary reasons
Buffalo safety George Wilson was hospitalized on Sunday after
he fractured two ribs in the Bills' 38-17 victory over the
Miami Dolphins. Wilson, a converted receiver, was injured
on a kick return during the first quarter. He came back for
a couple of defensive plays but left in the second quarter.
Coach Dick Jauron said Wilson went to the hospital for
precautionary measures. Jauron didn't have a timetable as to
how long Wilson might be out. "There's a guy that has so much
heart and he was so disappointed that he was injured," Jauron
said. "He even expressed to me that he felt like he was
letting us down." Wilson scored his second touchdown of the
season on the Dolphins' third series of the game to give
Buffalo a 21-0 lead. Quarterback John Beck's attempted throw
slipped out of his right hand and landed right in Wilson's
grasp, and he went 20 yards for the score. He also scored in
Buffalo's loss to Dallas, taking Tony Romo's errant throw
into the end zone for a 25-yard touchdown. Jim Leonhard filled
in for Wilson the rest of the game. It was Leonhard's injury
against the New York Jets that helped Wilson into the starting
lineup. Wilson had started the last nine games. "That's a huge
loss for us," strong safety Donte Whitner said. "I just hope
the extent of his injury is not season-ending and he can be
back out there soon."
