Greetings,
Well, camping was actually not too bad last weekend. We went
to the beach during the day, swimming and laying out on the
sand. We also did our yearly climb up the dune, which left
my legs screaming! Then at night we sat around the fire
eating smores and telling stories. All in all, it was a good
time. The only thing I could have done without was all the
mosquito bites!

Overwriting
When you have a Word document open, look at the bottom of
the screen. You'll notice a status bar, which tells you such
things as what page you are on, how many pages total, etc.
Near the middle of the status bar, you will see a small
section with the letters "OVR" inside. The letters are
probably a faint grey shadow. OVR stands for overwrite,
which is a mode in Word that let's you replace text as you
type instead of moving all the text over as you type.
There are three ways to turn the overwrite function on:
1. Double Click on the OVR box at the bottom of the Word
window. The letters will become dark. Just double click on
them again to turn it off.
2. Press the "Insert" key on your keyboard. The insert key
is usually somewhere near the "Delete" key, but on some
keyboards it is in different places. Press the "insert" key
again to turn the overwrite function off.
3. Click on "Tools" in the menu bar at the top of your
screen, click Options to display the "Options" window. In
the Options window, click on the "Edit" tab at the top, and
in the "Editing options" section click to select or clear
the "Overtype mode" check box. Be sure to click "OK" to
save your changes.
