Here's the Scoop....
Once again thanks to Jeanie for covering for me. We're heading
back to the doctor again to check on how the infection is
in my mom's eye.
I was hoping my sister was going to be coming in on Thursday,
but she just called and said she doesn't know if she can
make it in. She has some stuff going on at home.
It's now been almost three weeks since I've been in the office
for more than a few hours and I'm feeling really disconnected.
At least I can do some of my work from home.
Oh well, enough of my stuff... let's get to the fun stuff and
all the celebrity gossip!
Best,
Anisa

Sarah Jessica Parker... "Fans Will Be Shocked"...
'Sex And The City' star Sarah Jessica Parker has said fans of
the hit TV series will be shocked by the upcoming movie version,
because of the seriousness of its storyline. Sarah, who plays
writer Carrie Bradshaw, believes fans will see a different side
to glamorous New York tale, insisting the lucky few who have seen
previews of the highly anticipated film were left "surprised" by
its complexity. And she hints the movie could be set to make its
big debut at the renowned Cannes Film Festival in May .
She says, "What can I tell you in my own stealth way without
giving the story away... A handful of people have seen it and
have been very surprised by the seriousness. "There's something
that happens in this movie and it's really about realizing your
own complicity and disappointment." Parker adds, "There's still
plenty of ripe old salty dirty stuff. But I think it's a really
smart story and I think Michael Patrick wrote a beautiful screen-
play. "I think we are all still figuring out what we want in terms
of the movie. You know, whether it's at Cannes two weeks before
it opens domestically."

Kirstie Alley Signs Deal With Oprah...
Kirstie Alley has signed a deal with superstar talk show host
Oprah Winfrey's media empire to develop a series of TV projects,
and may even star in her own daily program. Kirstie was a hit with
Winfrey's Harpo production company executives after she appeared
on the show in a bikini to show off her dramatic 75 lbs weight-loss
in 2006. The 57-year-old, who recently quit her role as official
spokeswoman for Jenny Craig's weight-loss program, is excited by
the venture, stating she hopes to "offer something totally fresh
for the television audience." Tim Bennet, president of Harpo
Productions, says, "Kirstie is a tremendous talent who is
incredibly relatable and a true fan favorite."

Shia LaBeouf Warrant Issued...
Shia LaBeouf is wanted by police after a warrant was issued for
his arrest. He was scheduled to appear at a Los Angeles court on
Tuesday on charges of unlawful smoking in California's Burbank
on February 18, but neither he nor his attorney were present.
Following his no-show, a $1,000 bench warrant was issued for
Shia's arrest.
Shia, who can soon be seen starring with Harrison Ford in 'Indiana
Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull', was also arrested in
November for reportedly refusing to leave a Chicago pharmacy.
Speaking about the November incident, for which trespassing charges
were eventually dropped, Shia said: "That was complete and utter
insanity. I was a nincompoop, and it was a mistake I'm still
completely embarrassed about.
"I was in the middle of a strange mind state. I can't diminish what
happened at all. But I can say this - I'm not the first 21-year-old
to be arrested for a misdemeanor. There are lessons in life I need
to learn, and I'm learning all of them in front of the public."
At the time of writing this, Shia or his attorney had not released
a statement about the latest incident.

Steve-O 'Doing Good'...
'Jackass' star Steve-O is doing "really good", according to his
co-star Chris Pontius.
Steve-O was admitted to a psychiatric ward at Los Angeles' Cedars-
Sinai Medical Center last week over fears he was suicidal, and
Chris believes it was only a matter of time before his close friend
had to seek help for his mental wellbeing.
He says, "I haven't spoken to him but he is doing really good. He
is doing great. I think to be on 'Jackass' everybody has got to be
kind of crazy and we all hang out together and we don't really
think about it.
"It didn't come as a shock, no. Everybody's sanity on 'Jackass' is
like a progressive illness. Everybody is getting crazier and crazier."
The daredevil, real name Stephen Glover, was charged with cocaine
possession just a week before being hospitalized, after police were
called to his house to deal with a complaint he was vandalizing his
neighbor's property.

*-*-* GUESS WHO *-*-*-
The rocker who stunned fans by revealing he was once so depressed
he tried to kill himself?
It's Pete Wentz... The Fall Out Boy rocker has spoken about his
ordeal in an effort to encourage students suffering from mental
illness to seek out professional help. Wentz admits he was
paralyzed by anxiety and depression at the beginning of his career
and he felt so lost and alone he attempted suicide. Wentz has
joined stars like Mary J. Blige and Smashing Pumpkins frontman
Billy Corgan to front the Jed Foundation's Half Of Us campaign,
which is aimed at cutting student suicide rates. The trio has each
sat for video interviews, in which they detail their darkest hours.
The videos appear on MTV's college channel MTVU. During his
revealing interview, Wentz says, "The darkest moment was when we
had just finished recording out major label record and two days
later we were going to go to Europe and I felt completely lost and
out of control. "At that point, I'd seen some doctors and they were
Hollywood doctors so they gave me a cocktail (of prescription drugs)
but I was kind of the drugstore cowboy, so I took the cocktail the
way I wanted to take it. "I got in my car. I remember I was
listening to Jeff Buckley doing Leonard Cohen's (song) Hallelujah
and sat there and took a bunch of (prescription drug) Adavan in a
Best Buy (store) parking lot. "And I called up my manager because
I was, at that point, completely out of my head with Adavan. And I
was talking to him and I was slurring my words, so he called my mom
and my mom called me and she came and got me and we went to the
hospital. "I came home and we realized that we needed to do more
than just keep (my) head above water. It's not really about keeping
your head above water, it's about feeling all right and feeling safe
in your own skin. It's not about keeping your head above water and
barely keep going."
