Here's the Scoop....
Again thanks to Jeanie to for covering for me. I had to take
my mom to get a bunch of pre-surgery tests. She's doing well
and her "good" eye is improving every few days.
On another note, some of you know that my sister writes Looking
Good here at GopherCentral. Well there's some sad news for
her. Two of her four Great Danes are very sick and are being
put down on Thursday.
If you own a pet you know the heartbreak she is going through.
Keno and Mystic are two wonderful dogs. I have yet to meet
her two new ones (ginger and Coco).
If you're interested to see pictures of Keno and Mystic here
is a link (you'll also get the opportunity to post a note
to my sister. Click Here
Now let's get to the nooz.
Best,
Anisa

Details on Britney Spears' TV Return...
Britney Spears is set to return to hit TV show 'How I Met
Your Mother' on May 12.
She will reprise her role as geeky receptionist Abby on the
CBS sitcom - a character described as "sweet, friendly, scattered
and a little nerdy" - after her successful guest appearance on
the show in March.
Craig Thomas, executive producer and co-creator of the show,
confirmed: "We're all so thrilled to have Britney joining us once
again. And just to head it off at the pass this time around, 'Yes,
mom, Britney's very nice and no, I can't get her autograph for you.' "
Production on the episode - which sees Abby and Barney, played by
Neil Patrick Harris, start a relationship to annoy the show's main
character Ted, played by Josh Radnor - began Monday.
Following Britney's appearance on the show on March 24, which
earned the sitcom its highest ratings in the 18 to 49 age group
since it first aired in 2005 - Harris revealed he hoped Britney
would reprise her role.
He said: "Britney did a great job on the show. She really did. In
fact, we are all hoping that she returns rather soon to reprise
her role as Abby."

Mel Gibson Back In Front Of The Camera...
Mel Gibson is returning to acting for the first time in six
years in a feature adaptation of 80s BBC drama 'Edge of
Darkness.'
This is the first film Mel has starred in since 'Signs' and
'We Were Soldiers' in 2002, having concentrated on directing
with 'The Passion of the Christ' in 2004 and 'Apocalypto' in 2006.
But after Martin Campbell, director of the original television
series, developed a cinematic version of the show with Graham
King and William Monahan, the Oscar-winning producer and screen-
writer of 'The Departed', Mel has now committed to his first
acting role in years, Variety reports.
The role in 'Edge of Darkness', which begins shooting in Boston
in August, will represent Mel's first attempt to see how the
public reacts to him since his approval ratings declined after a
drunk-driving arrest in 2006, following which he made anti-Semitic
remarks.
Having had his drivers' license suspended, received three years'
probation and a $1,300 fine and ordered to attend alcohol
education classes and a three-month alcohol education program, he
later described the incident as a "moment of insanity".

Michael Jackson Saves House...
Michael Jackson has narrowly avoided losing his house in Los
Angeles, after paying off debts of $414,806
Michael's three-bedroom, three-bathroom property in Encino had
been scheduled to be sold at a public auction on May 5, according
to A Notice of Trustee's Sale filed on April 11.
But Michael has now saved the house by settling his debts.
A spokesperson for the singer said: "The property has been paid and
is no longer in foreclosure."
Last month, Jackson managed to save his 2,800 acre Neverland ranch,
in California, from going to auction after working out a deal with
Fortress Investment Group LLC to refinance the property instead of
paying the $24.5 million fee.
Jackson's lawyer L. Londell McMillan said: "They've sorted out a
confidential agreement. Neverland and Michael Jackson are fine."
Fortress Investments originally loaned Jackson $300 million to pay
off his debts and threatened to sell the property through a Santa
Barbara real estate broker if it wasn't sold at auction.

*-*-* GUESS WHO *-*-*-
This hunky actor is terrified of on-screen sex scenes,
because he worries about getting bad reviews of his love-
making techniques.
It's James Marsden... The X-Men star, 34, has yet to be faced
with the task of graphic love scenes, but he admits he already
cringes at the thought of being so closely scrutinized by the
rest of the cast and crew.
He says, "It's so embarrassing with everyone watching you. It's
the opposite of romantic.
"I already feel like the crew are judging me, so imagine doing a
sex scene. They'd be thinking: 'Ooh, is that how he does it in
real life?' Awful!
"I don't know how I'd react if I was offered a part with a sex
scene. My wife would tell me to do it, though. She wants people
to see that I'm sexy."
