Sara Evans Engaged to Sports Radio Host
Sara Evans is engaged to marry Jay Barker, a former
quarterback at the University of Alabama, People
magazine reported Monday (March 24). Evans, 37, filed
for divorce from former political candidate Craig
Schelske in 2006 while she was a contestant on the TV
series, Dancing With the Stars. A bitter and widely-
publicized divorce was finalized in September 2007.
Barker, who hosts a morning radio show on WJOX-FM in
Birmingham, Ala., helped lead Alabama to a national
championship in 1992. A wedding date has not been
set.

Trace Adkins Performing on Celebrity Apprentice Finale
Trace Adkins and his band will provide a live performance
of his latest single, "You're Gonna Miss This," during
Thursday's finale of NBC's The Celebrity Apprentice.
Adkins and British newspaper editor and media personality
Piers Morgan are the last of this season's original 14
contestants. Donald Trump will make his final decision
Thursday and award a $250,000 check to the winner's
charity. Adkins, whose 6-year-old daughter suffers from
severe food allergies, is competing to raise money for
FAAN (Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network). Immediately
following his performance, Adkins' recording will be
available for download at iTunes.com with proceeds bene-
fiting the charity. While not predicting the outcome of
the TV show, Adkins says, "I intend to conclude my time
on this show with my dignity intact, and I will try to
be as respectful as Piers will allow me to be."
