Greetings Citizen:
We had a week off due to a lack of response to our question
regarding the North American Union. It might be the case that
a lot of people do not know about this. If this is the case,
please read up on the NAU. It promises to be an important issue
for years to come.
Please make sure you participate in this week's poll so we
can continue to make the Polling Station a weekly publication.
Another interesting development is shifting attitudes in how
people feel toward budget deficits. Fiscal conservatism used
to be mainly a Republican position, but now a higher percentage
of Democrats believe in fiscal conservatism than Republicans.
We have noticed that we are living in a topsy turvy world as
attitudes between Reps and Dems have been shifting. Reps are
now more likely to want to do "nation building" than Dems. This
used to be an anathema to Republicans and now, under the present
administration and neo-conservative ideology, Reps have become
more like traditional Dems...and Dems have become more like
traditional Republicans.
We are finding this out more and more. Neither party really
has a platform that stands for traditional party positions. This
is really not being discussed in the MSM media or other polls.
