We knew that we would take a hit from last week's commentary.
Unlike a lot of folks, we actually read and care what the
Constitution says.
There are many folks who simply refuse to really care what the
constitution says. This document is obviously not revelation
and requires amendment from time to time. This is the beauty of
our system.
But you have to know what is says. For those who do not believe
that treating citizens differently based upon their religion, race
or religion is not against the constitution, please read an excerpt
from the constitution below.
If you are so scared and let your fears ruin the constitution,
maybe it is time for you to leave this country and go to a place
that suits your desire for safety over freedom. Sweden is pretty
safe...move there because our country needs those who cherish
freedom over security.
Always be suspicious of anyone who is willing to give up freedoms
that generations fought for...Those who fought and died for
our rights...fought for our constitution deserve more respect than
those who would trade it for a good night's sleep.
It matters not what your party affiliation is. It appears that
those most afraid will most easily sacrifice freedom. Fear is
the enemy and anyone who wishes to keep you afraid is not a
friend of freedom.
14th Amendment of the Constitution of the United States:
Section. 1.
All persons born or naturalized in the United States
and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens
of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.
No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge
the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States;
nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or
property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person
within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
