Recalls Children’s Sweatshirts with Drawstrings
Due to Strangulation Hazard; Sold Exclusively
by Neiman Marcus
The following product safety recall was voluntarily con-
ducted by the firm in cooperation with the CPSC. Consumers
should stop using the product immediately unless otherwise
instructed.
Name of Product: True Religion Brand Fleece Hoodies
Manufacturer: True Religion, of Los Angeles, Calif.
Hazard: A drawstring is threaded through the hood, posing
a strangulation hazard to children.
Incidents/Injuries: No incidents or injuries have been
reported.
Description: The recalled hoodies have a drawstring
through the hood. The products are black, pink, or blue
and were sold in children sizes XS, S, M, L, and XL. The
True Religion horseshoe design is displayed on the front
of the hoodie. The name “True Religion” appears inside
the hoodie.
Sold at: Neiman Marcus stores nationwide and through its
Web site from April 2006 through July 2006 for about $106.
Manufactured in: Mexico
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the clothing
immediately and return the item directly to their local
Neiman Marcus store for a full refund. Online purchasers
should contact Neiman Marcus for instructions on how to
return the product. Direct notices from Neiman Marcus
are being sent to consumers it has identified who pur-
chased the recalled hoodies.

Announces Recall to Repair Segway® Personal Transporters
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commis-
sion, in cooperation with the firm named below, today
announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer
product. Consumers should stop using recalled products
immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of Product: Segway Personal Transporter (PT) [also
known as the Segway Human Transporter (HT)]
Manufacturer: Segway Inc., of Bedford, N.H.
Hazard: The personal transporter can unexpectedly apply
reverse torque to the wheels, which can cause a rider to
fall. This can occur when the device is tilted back by
the Speed Limiter and the rider comes off and then back
onto the device within a short period of time.
Incidents/Injuries: Segway Inc. has received six reports
of the personal transporter not operating properly,
resulting in injuries to the head and wrist of users.
Description: This recall involves all Segway PT i167, i170
and i180 (“i Series”) models, the p133 (“p Series”), XT
(“cross-terrain transporter”), GT (“golf transporter”) and
i2 models. These units were sold to consumers and com-
mercial customers. All e167 (“e Series”) models, which
were sold to commercial users, also are included in this
recall. No other models are involved in this recall. The
name, “Segway”, appears on the front bumper and/or on the
handlebars of the personal transporter.
Sold through: Segway authorized dealers and distributors,
directly from Segway Inc., and by certain resellers from
March 2002 through mid-September 2006 for prices ranging
from $4,000 to $5,500.
Manufactured in: United States
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the Segway PT
immediately and contact the company to receive a free
software upgrade.

Pride Products Recalls Counterfeit Extension Cords
Due to Fire Hazard
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Com-
mission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today
announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer
product. Consumers should stop using recalled products
immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of Product: Extension Cords
Importer: Pride Products Corp., of Ronkonkoma, N.Y.
Hazard: The counterfeit extension cords have undersized
wiring and no fuse in the cord to provide over-current
protection, which can cause overheating and pose a fire
hazard.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported.
Description: The recalled cords are brown or white,
measure 6, 9, 12, or 15 feet long, are intended for
indoors and have a three-outlet extension. Attached
to the cord is a silver counterfeit UL holographic
label marked "09/99 E157848 UL LISTED CORD SET BV-8021
13A 125V 1625W” or “09/02 E137398 UL LISTED CORD SET BW
5833 13A 125V 1625W.”
Sold at: Local discount, drug, and grocery stores nation-
wide from June 2005 through August 2006 for between $1
and $2.
Manufactured in: China
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled exten-
sion cords immediately and return them to the place of
purchase for a full refund.
