Share Humanitarian Award Honors
Clay Walker was named the Country Radio Broadcasters'
artist humanitarian of the year during Wednesday morning's
(March 5) opening session at Country Radio Seminar in
Nashville. Walker was cited for his continuing work in
funding research, raising awareness and providing education
for those battling multiple sclerosis. Walker was diagnosed
with MS in 1996 and is now in remission. In 2003, he formed
Band Against MS, a nonprofit organization that has raised
more than $1 million for MS research. ... Also during the
morning session, the CRB honored three radio stations with
its annual radio humanitarian award -- WFLS/Fredericksburg,
Va. (small market), WIVK/Knoxville, Tenn. (medium market)
and KYGO/Denver (large market).

Naomi Judd Among Judges for Can You Duet
Naomi Judd, vocal coach Brett Manning and "Amazed" song-
writer Aimee Mayo will serve as the panel of judges for
the new CMT series, Can You Duet. The weekly music com-
petition from FremantleMedia North America (the pro-
ducers of American Idol) will debut on April 14 at 10:30
p.m. In addition to critiquing each performance and
deciding who will advance to the next round and ultimate-
ly be crowned country music's next great duo, Judd,
Manning and Mayo will also serve as mentors to the con-
testants.
