Rookie Adrian Peterson Breaks NFL Record
Racing to the NFL's single-game rushing record of 296 yards
at the midpoint of his first pro season, Adrian Peterson
carried the Vikings to a 35-17 victory over the Chargers on
Sunday. This rookie doesn't make many mistakes. He simply
sets a lot of records. He didn't realize the significance
of his performance until his benign 3-yard carry took the
clock under 60 seconds and sent him past Jamal Lewis' 295-
yard performance against Cleveland in 2003 for the best game
a running back has ever had in this league. "Oh, no. I was
out playing ball," Peterson said. "I wasn't thinking about
the record at all."

Favre, Packers Come From Behind to Beat Chiefs
Add one more uncommon distinction to the glittering resume
of Brett Favre. Hitting Greg Jennings for a 60-yard touch-
down pass with 3:05 to go Sunday, Favre rallied Green Bay
past Kansas City 33-22 and joined Tom Brady and Peyton
Manning as quarterbacks who've beaten all 31 other teams
in the NFL. In an odd confluence of timing among three of
the game's greats, Manning and Brady both achieved the career
milestone only one week ahead of Favre, who had been 0-3
against the Chiefs and was probably seeing them for the last
time. "I've been on some pretty good teams that came in and
lost," said Favre, who hit 24 of 34 passes for 360 yards with
two TDs and two interceptions while notching his 40th game-
winning rally.

I'm Walking Here....
Here's an item (the Telescopic Walking Stick) that I never
really thought I would use. But I decided to try it out
when we went for a walk along a trail a few weeks ago.
It was fun to use.... yes I said fun. When we would come up
to a stream, I would poke at things in it. I also used it
when I wanted to venture off the beaten path, just to make
sure that there were no snakes in front of me. Believe it or
not, it made the walk more enjoyable. Check it out and the
unbelievable low price.
Normal Price: $19.99
DEAL PRICE: $8.27
Whether you're an avid hiker or just looking for a little
extra help walking around, the Telescopic Walking Stick is
just what you need. It's fully adjustable to fit your height
and the spring loaded shaft helps reduce strain on your wrists,
back, knees, legs and feet. With a built in compass it will get
you through hard rocky terrain or just across the street.

Patriots Beat Colts 24-20 in Battle of Unbeatens
No running up the score this week. Against the Colts, the
New England Patriots had to struggle just to survive.
Survive they did, staying on course for an unbeaten season
as Tom Brady threw two of his three touchdown passes in a
four-minute span of the fourth quarter to overcome a 10-
point deficit and beat Super Bowl champion Indianapolis,
24-20, Sunday. The win, in perhaps the NFL's biggest regular-
season game ever, keeps the Patriots (9-0) on course for the
NFL's first unbeaten season since Miami did it in 1972 and
gives them the first tiebreaker over Indianapolis (7-1) in
the AFC playoffs. "We were going against a hostile crowd, an
undefeated team, we took our hats off to them. But we still
played well enough to win," New England linebacker Junior
Seau said.
