Hi to All My Readers,
Thanks for all your mail. This question seems very
important, "What activities do you do daily for math? I
do a yes or no question of the day." When the children enter
the classroom they go over to the chart and place their clothespin
on yes or no, and after specials we tally the results. I have an
attendance chart. When the children enter they place their clothespin
on girls or boys, and during calendar math we count how many girls,
how many boys, how many absent, and how many altogether. We also do a
lunch chart. The children place their clothespin on Buying Lunch or
Not Buying lunch. We count how many, how many altogether, and how
many more. Calendar Math is done on a daily basis including: day,
month, year, weather, odd or even, incredible equations, math fact
family of the day, and number of days in school.
