Clarion Recalls
Vehicle Navigation and Entertainment System Batteries
Due to Burn and Fire Hazards
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commis-
sion, in cooperation with the firm named below, today
announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer pro-
duct. Consumers should stop using recalled products im-
mediately unless otherwise instructed. Name of Product:
Batteries in Clarion N.I.C.E. P200 Navigation and Entertain-
ment Systems
Distributor: Clarion Corporation of America, of Cypress,
Calif.
Manufacturer: Kiryung Electronics of Seoul, South Korea
Hazard: The lithium-ion batteries in these units can melt
or overheat posing burn and fire hazards to consumers.
Incidents/Injuries: Clarion has received four reports of
the unit melting or overheating. No injuries have been
reported.
Description: The N.I.C.E. P200 is a black portable naviga-
tion and entertainment device that can be attached to a
vehicle’s windshield. The device has a 4-inch touch screen
LCD monitor and contains one lithium battery. “Clarion”
and “N.I.C.E. P200” are printed on the device. “Clarion
NAVBATTERY,” “Rechargeable Li-Polymer Battery,” and “Made
in Korea” are printed on the battery. Only N.I.C.E. P200
units with serial numbers ending in “UE” or “UF” are
affected by this recall. The serial number is located on
a white label on the back of the device.
Sold at: Car audio and mobile electronics stores from May
2006 through December 2006 for about $900.
Manufactured in: South Korea
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled batteries
immediately and contact Clarion Corp. to receive a free
replacement battery and a postage-paid envelope to return
the recalled battery.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commis-
sion, in cooperation with the firm named below, today
announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer pro-
duct. Consumers should stop using recalled products im-
mediately unless otherwise instructed. Name of Product:
Baby greendog® girl’s knit coveralls
Distributor: Macy’s Merchandising Group Inc., of New York,
N.Y.
Hazard: The snaps on the legs of the coveralls can detach,
posing a choking hazard to young children.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported.
Description: The recalled knit coveralls are off-white
with long sleeves. There are pastel stripes on the sleeves
and legs, and a floral motif on the right-hand side of the
chest. It was sold with a matching striped cap. The cover-
alls were sold in sizes 0-12 months. Style number
1053EGR410 is printed on the hang tag.
Sold exclusively at: Macy’s stores nationwide from August
2006 through October 2006 for about $30.
Manufactured in: China
Remedy: Consumers should stop using these coveralls
immediately and return them to any Macy’s store for a
full refund or store credit.

Due to Choking Hazard

product. Consumers should stop using recalled products
immediately unless otherwise instructed. Name of Product:
Holiday Time™ Stuffed Christmas Beagles
Units: About 56,000
Importer: Wal-Mart Stores Inc., of Bentonville, Ark.
Hazard: The red pompoms on the wreath attached to the
beagle’s mouth could detach, posing a choking hazard to
young children.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported.
Description: The stuffed animal is a brown and white
beagle with a red scarf and Santa hat trimmed in red
and white stripes. A green wreath with red pompoms is
attached near the beagle’s mouth. The stuffed beagle
measures 7-inches tall and 5-inches long. “Marketed by
WAL-MART STORES, INC” and UPC number “8 85271 90780 3”
are printed on the dog’s sewn-in labels. “Holiday
Time™” is printed on the animal’s hang tag.
Sold exclusively at: Wal-Mart stores nationwide from
September 2006 through December 2006 for about $3.
Manufactured in: China
Remedy: Consumers should immediately take the stuffed
animal away from young children and return it to the
nearest Wal-Mart store for a full refund.
