Jay Ward, the creator of the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show, bought
a private island and dubbed it 'Moosylvania'. On the show,
Bullwinkle was the President of Moosylvania. Jay Ward collected
thousands of signatures on a petition to have Moosylvania become
the 51st state of the United States.
Obviously the petition was unsuccessful, but I'll bet it would
be a mighty big tourist attraction today if the attempt had
been successful.

Note: In code examples I add a period after each left arrow
bracket so the code can be viewed in all e-mail programs. If
you copy and paste, be sure to remove the periods or it won't
work.
Question: I'm really stuck. On my page text gets progressively
smaller everytime I start a new paragraph, but only in Netscape.
The problem doesn't occur in other browsers. What the cheese-
burger is that?
Simon Says: Hmm...I've never heard of a cheeseburger used in
that way before. The cheeseburger is...
...a problem that occurs in versions of Netscape 4. The problem
occurs when text size is set using relative size units in CSS.
CSS support was pretty buggy in older browsers, but it's
excellent today. You should consider upgrading your browser.
Specifically, older Netscape browsers treated each paragraph
after the first one as a direct child of the first, so it
inherited the properties and values of the parent paragraph.
If you set a text size using inline CSS or through a class
attribute, if the text size was in relative terms, such as a
percentage, the browser would reduce the text size until it
reached a certain point, then it would stop and return to
normal...only to start the cycle all over again.
The cause is seemingly when the closing paragraph tag and the
next opening paragraph tag are butted up against each another,
like so:
)
Add a space or line break) between the closing and opening
paragraph tags and the problem goes away.

SURFIN' THE WEB - Threadless
Have you ever thought you had a witty slogan for a t-shirt?
Maybe you think you could create a great design for at-shirt?
Want to win $2,000 in cash and prizes? Maybe you just want an
unusual t-shirt or three to wear around?
At Threadless, community members (visitors who join the web
site, it's free) submit t-shirt witticisms and even their own
designs, members then get to vote for which ones should be made
into a t-shirt, and the highest scoring designs and slogans are
made into t-shirts and offered for sale.
The community members seem to like the place because many send
in photos of themselves wearing Threadless t-shirts, and there
are over 42,000 pictures of community members to browse. Why
someone would want to do that I don't know, but I can't know
everything. It's enough that I know almost everything, I don't
want to appear too greedy.

COMPUTER TIPS - Clear My Recent Documents Menu
A lot of people who share computers don't want the My Recent
Documents to reveal what documents they have recently opened.
There are two simple ways to prevent that.
If you just want to clear one or two files you can delete them
manually by right-clicking the file and choosing Delete from
the context menu. This doesn't delete the file, it only clears
it from the list. If you want to clear the entire list:
1) Right-click the Start button and select Properties.
2) On the Start Menu tab, click the Customize button.
3) Click the Advanced tab.
4) At the bottom of the Advanced dialog is button labeled Clear.
Click it to clear the My Recent Documents list. This does not
delete the files, it only clears the list.
If you don't want Windows to keep a list at all, uncheck the box
for "List my most recently opened documents" and Windows will
stop populating the list.

only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of
today.
