+--- COUNTRY STARS ALBUMS ---+
George Strait, Trace Adkins Retain Album, Song Thrones
George StraitThis week's Billboard country chart-toppers
are the same as last's -- George Strait holding the No.
1 album spot with Troubadour and Trace Adkins boasting
the most-played song with "You're Gonna Miss This" (for
the third consecutive week).
Two new albums make their bow -- James Otto's Sunset Man,
soaring in at No. 2, and Jeff Bates' self-titled col-
lection, his first since leaving RCA, marching in at No.
32. Returning to the charts are the multi-artist package,
Country's Got Hits (No. 70) and Whiskey Falls' self-
titled CD (No. 75).
Alan Jackson's "Good Time," the title cut of his current
album, arrives at No. 42 as the week's highest-charting
debut single. First-timers on the songs chart are Point
of Grace's "How You Live (Turn Up the Music)" at No. 56
and Rodney Atkins' "Invisibly Shaken" at No. 57. The re-
entries are Mica Roberts and Toby Keith's "Things a Mama
Don't Know" (No. 59) and Cross Canadian Ragweed's "Cry
Lonely" (No. 60).
Kenny Chesney's new single, "Better as a Memory," which
made its debut only four weeks ago, is racing up the
charts and leaped this week from No. 21 to No. 15.
In the Top 5 album territory, directly below Strait and
Otto, are Taylor Swift, Jackson's Good Time and Carrie
Underwood's Carnival Ride. Parading, in order, just
behind Adkins on the songs chart are Strait's "I Saw
God Today," Otto's "Just Got Started Lovin' You," Chris
Cagle's "What Kinda Gone" and Swift's "Picture to Burn."
Be patient. More new albums are coming your way soon.
