------- Owner of Pet Python Sadly Becomes Hiss-tory --------
LANESVILLE, Ind. - A family's pet python is to blame for the
death of its 23-year-old owner, who was crushed to death by
the 14-foot snake. The python was found loose in a southern
Indiana shed with Patrick Von Allmen's body. Family members
said Von Allmen told them he was going to treat the snake
for a medical condition, and was alone in the shed with the
python for about three hours before his body was found.
"When you're dealing with a wild animal species, you take
on a certain amount of risk," said Conservation Officer Mark
Farmer. The python was later returned to the family.

A cattle rancher went into town on a Saturday night for a
sit-down steak dinner. Whenthe waiter brought him his steak
it was rare--very rare. The cow-puncher looked at it and
demanded that it be returned to the kitchen and cooked.
"It is cooked," snapped the waiter.
"Cooked--nothing," replied the cow-puncher. "I've seen cows
