Nexgrill Industries Gas Grills
Recalled Due to Fire Hazard
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety
Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below,
today announced a voluntary recall of the following
consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled
products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of Product: Nexgrill Gas Grills
Manufacturer: Nexgrill Industries Inc., of City of
Industry, Calif.
Hazard: The gas grill has a hose that connects the pro-
pane tank to the burner manifold. If this hose runs up
too close to the firebox, the heat can cause the hose
to detach from the burner manifold, causing a gas leak
and a fire hazard.
Incidents/Injuries: Nexgrill has received 31 incident
reports, including 28 fires, three hoses melting, two
cases of property damage, and four injuries.
Description: The recalled product is the Nexgrill Model
720-0025 Gas Grill. The stainless steel grill is
designed to be used with propane gas. The name of the
grill is located at the left corner of the exterior of
the main burner lid. The serial number is printed on
the CSA sticker which is located behind the door. A
temperature gauge is located at the center of the main
burner lid.
Sold at: Target, Costco Canada, H-E-B, Chase-Pitkin, and
Gander Mountain stores nationwide from December 2003
through March 2005 for between $499 to $599.
Manufactured In: China
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the gas grill
immediately and contact Nexgrill to receive a free,
self-installation retrofit heat shield assembly.

Recalls Electric Smokers for Fire Hazard
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Com-
mission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today
announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer
product. Consumers should stop using recalled products
immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of Product: Electric Smokehouse Smokers
Manufacturer: Masterbuilt Manufacturing Inc., of Columbus
Ga.
Hazard: Smoldering wood chips used in the wood chip box
can ignite into flames when the door of the unit is opened,
posing a risk of burn injuries to users and property damage
to nearby combustibles.
Incidents/Injuries: Masterbuilt has received two reports
of units that were damaged as a result of wood chip flare-
ups. No injuries or property damage were reported.
Description and Models: The smokers cook food slowly at
lower temperatures and use wood chips to produce smoke
inside the unit for flavor. Wood chips are placed inside
the smoker and heated using an electric burner element
to produce smoldering coals. The electric smokehouse model
ESQ30B has a black powder coated outer shell with the
Masterbuilt Electric Smokehouse logo on the front door.
The electric smokehouse model ESQ30S has a stainless steel
outer shell with the Masterbuilt Electric Smokehouse logo
on the front door. The model number is located on a metal
plate on the back of the unit.
Sold at: Sporting goods stores sold these smokers nation-
wide from July 2005 through May 2006 for between $200
and $250.
Manufactured In: China
Remedy: Consumers should stop using these smokers
immediately, and contact the firm to receive free
repair kit.

Yamaha In-Ceiling and In-Wall Speakers
Recalled After Reports of Units Falling
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Com-
mission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today
announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer
product. Consumers should stop using recalled products
immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of Product: Yamaha In-Ceiling and In-Wall Speakers.
Distributor: Yamaha Electronics Corporation, of Buena Park,
Calif.
Hazard: On some speakers, the mounting clamps can break
causing the speaker to fall. Falling speakers could
possibly hit consumers.
Incidents/Injuries: Yamaha has received 14 reports of fall-
ing speakers. No injuries have been reported.
Description: The recalled models are the In-Ceiling Speaker,
NS-IW360C, which is round; and the In-Wall Speaker,
NS-IW660, which is rectangular. Both models have a white
rim and grill, and black interior. Each individual speaker
has its own unique serial number. The model and serial
numbers appear both on the box and on the speakers. The
following are the recalled serial numbers:

$180 (NS-IW360C) or $350 (NS-IW660).

Remedy: Consumers should contact Yamaha to determine
whether their speakers are subject to this recall, and
if so, how to get free replacement speakers.
