Miami, Phoenix, New York lead in road rage
Road rage is most prevalent in Miami, Phoenix, New York,
Los Angeles and Boston, a survey by the AutoVantage auto
club said. The most courteous city of 20 polled was
Minneapolis, followed closely by Nashville, St. Louis,
Seattle and Atlanta. Younger drivers and those who have
the farthest commutes are most likely to react to an
aggressive or rude driver, the survey said. The study
found no significant difference between men and women
when it comes to rudeness behind the wheel. Of the
2,040 drivers contacted by telephone, 64 percent admitted
driving too fast at least once a day, although 57 percent
of drivers said they get angry when they see others
speeding. As a reaction to rude or bad driving by others,
40 percent said they honked their horn, 32 percent cursed
at the other driver, 9 percent waved their fist, 8 percent
offered a rude gesture, and 5 percent said they called
the police to report the offending driver.

Detroit delays cell phone ban for drivers
Talking on a cell phone while driving is technically banned
in Detroit but Motor City motorists won't be ticketed for
talking -- at least for a while. Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick
Wednesday let the cell phone ban ordinance passed by the
City Council stay on his desk and a spokesman said the law
would not be enforced right now, pending changes. "There
will be no tickets issued for it," a mayoral spokesman
told the Detroit Free Press. The ban passed earlier this
month prohibits use of a cell phone handset by the driver
of a moving vehicle, but Kilpatrick believes the law
should only be enforced if the driver has committed a
moving violation. Hands-free headsets are permitted.
A first violation carries a $100 fine.

What do you think of "God-casting"?
"I think it's all very very creepy. I just got a rosary
and two St. Anthony necklaces in the mail. It's just a
sign that religion in America has nothing to do with
spirituality but more marketing and money-making. It's
sick."
Julie
"I think anything that touches people's hearts and gets
them to think about God without shoving Him down their
throats is a good thing. As the man said, don't change
the message, just the method of delivery. Sound bytes
(aka "verse of the day") aren't the message."
Wendy, NJ
"I am wondering about the spiritual effectiveness of
God- Casting when those tenants that are essential to
the Christian Message are not mentioned as they are
considered too "churchy". How do you spread the Gospel
with out mentioning salvation, or redemption or those
other " churchy things" While it is true that the
message needs to be spread using the new technology
available it is important to not change the essential
tenants of the message. The temptation to make the
message user friendly may effectively prevent the
conversion of hearts that is the true goal."
