Greetings fellow Bizarros: 

You have to appreciate this pilot's optimism, but what I 
find most incredible about this clip is the practical 
demonstration of physics involved. Add a 30-40 mile-per-
hour cross wind to the runway and watch the plane come 
down at almost a 45 degree angle. Unfortunately, when he 
tries to straighten out, the wind just about tips him over 
and the pilot has to gun it in order to get back into the 
air and keep the 180 people aboard from meeting a fiery 
death.

Airbus Wing Hits On Attempted Landing

In a bizarre attempted landing during a storm, a Lufthansa 
Airbus is blown almost sidways and when the pilot attempts 
to correct its direction, the left wing strikes the ground. 
The plane takes off again and landed safely on a different 
runway.
