--WHAT TO DO AND SEE:
Tower Overview
Inspiration Tower is Branson's "landmark on the horizon"
-- a massive 230' tall structure located on Inspiration
Point in The Shepherd of the Hills Homestead. Constructed
and erected in 1989, it weighs 3 million pounds, cost
approximately $1.5 million to build, contains over 92,000
pounds of structural steel, and can withstand a constant
wind of 172 mph or gusts of up to 224 mph! A convoy of 43
concrete trucks filled the Tower foundation, which con-
tains five miles' worth of rebar weighing 34.5 tons. The
Tower also contains over 4,400 square feet of glass -
enough to cover a third of a football field!
Two glass elevators transport visitors to the spacious,
enclosed observation deck. You can also walk a few steps
down to the open-air deck. The panoramic views available
are absolutely phenomenal, in any season. On a clear day,
you can see over 90 miles. There's also a specialty gift
shop, snack bar and restrooms on the ground level.

Silver Dollar City Overview.........
This is a top notch park. There is something for everyone!
Shops, roller coasters and great food that is not too
expensive. Don't miss this one, especially at Christmas
with all the lights and take the train ride. It is well
worth the wait!
Silver Dollar City is one of the most popular attractions
in Branson, Missouri. Home to five family festivals, 20
heart-stopping rides, 40 shows, 60 specialty shops and a
whole lot more, this amusement park is rated number one
in the world!
The rides are one of the main attractions for young and
old alike at Silver Dollar City. Set high above the hills
in the Ozark Mountains, the rides here will catapult you
above it all and then zoom you back down to earth in
seconds. The new PowderKeg roller coaster cost $10 million
to build and boasts unbelievable speeds. This ride will
jolt you from zero to 53 miles an hour in under three
seconds!
Fire-In-The-Hole pulls up you and drops you down death-
defying heights. Wildfire yanks riders around dramatic
corners and around dizzying loops at break-neck speed.
For something not so scary, try a steam train ride
through Ozark country or explore the world's largest
tree house at Geyser Gulch.
If rides aren't your thing, Silver Dollar City offers
an unrivaled shopping experience. Founded by crafters
in the early part of the 1900s, Silver Dollar City
still celebrates that tradition with art and crafts of
yesteryear and today. Vendors fashion crafts right in
front of you and make you feel like you've gone back
in time.
